Crossing the Bridge To Bliss
The journey began a long time ago,
traversed life’s meandering lone pathway
across terrain of uneven plateau,
despite distractions I didn’t ever stray.
The sun shines bright in seamless cobalt sky,
colored canvas of contoured vale in sight,
ripples of whispering breeze pass me by,
while I trace butterfly trails of delight.
At edge of twilight a raging stream flows,
I’ll build a bridge designed by destiny.
When all the portals of time behind close,
walk the last mile on path of ecstasy.
Cross the bridge over the stream-sliced abyss,
from where He’ll take me to abode of bliss.
