Cross of My Saviour and Lord

Jesus Christ’s cross*!
                          
                          His priceless blood!
                          
                          His perfect sacrifice!
                          
                          His selfless offering!
                          
                          His total surrender!

Indeed anchors my faith’s concrete, firm, steadfast foundation
It signifies my eternal life, along my soul’s earnest redemption
With my daily sanctification of sure pardon for transformation
Proclaiming the Lord’s victorious death, burial and resurrection

                          His Word I believe!

                          His name I esteem!              

                          His guidance I seek!

                          In His might I abide!

                          For Him I live truly!

*Hebrews 12:2 "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

The contest was to include sonnets, free verse and rhyme, not shape poems. Was hoping you'd see the blogs or contest updates asking that the shape poems be redone so your poem could have placed higher. Congratulations on your placement!
