Rustling, blowing, whooshing
Like the moments before twilight,
Following shadows home, stolen
Lights, glistening across the night,
Hesitant as the forest’s calm,
Still blessings, wafting through dawn,
Rising like dew graced petals,
Reflecting the darkness, the loss
Of a moment before morning warms,
Sunlight reaching through the limbs,
Oaks and maples, painted graceful,
Listening to the brilliance of fiery golds,
The satin joy of burgundy and rust,
Fires glowing on the endless branches
Trees providing what our hearts surely need,
The aching embrace of crisp, autumn leaves!
