Crimson Skies

*Fiction Crimson skies are all I can see The horizon swallows you from me Disappearing in the twilight Answers are hidden in the night Was the light too bright for you? A tunnel too long to walk through? Maybe, I know too much What you want, you cannot touch You’d rather have a heart bleed To drown a growing seed Reasons justified, all your own So, the truth will never be known Crimson Skies, crimson skies, Spread from so many goodbyes Only you forgot the moon will shine And the light of night, will be mine Heidi Sands 8/2/19

Clever, well-rhymed use of the sky to depict human relationships.

G'day Heidi … have I got this right. At the end of the day you feel self doubt but it's someone else's loss. The crimson sky is your comforting light - thank you Heidi; nice lyrics - Lindsay

Hi Lindsay. It is more about people walking away and loss, I suppose. It kind of came out of me that way spontaneously. I appreciate your kind comment. Thank you :)

Hi Heidi, the Horizon always mystifies me and I can maybe understand why man of yesteryear thought the earth was flat! Hugs, Jennifer.

This is so beautifully written, Heidi, I feel the emotion of sadness within the poem. I am glad it is only fiction. All my best to you. John
