Criminals In the City Hall
Criminals in the City Hall
By Elton Camp
Reporter Joe’s state had enacted a sunshine law
But to open meeting the city council said, “Naw.”
“We see no reason that you should be needing
To know anything about the council’s proceeding.”
“We will spend the public’s money as we see best
And just how we do it isn’t any business to the rest.”
Joe continued to demand that the law be obeyed
Contempt for the regulation the council displayed
The next meeting, they firmly closed the door
Keeping Joe out just as they had done times before
With their contempt for the law, Joe had enough
So he decided that it high time for him to be rough
So he obtained a bright yellow crime scene tape
Across the red meeting room door he did drape
The photograph he took ran on the front page
The public outcry threw the council into a rage
