Creating Memories
A year of hearing your laughter
Seeing you smile
Of seeing the beauty within
Your scent you leave behind
Getting to know the terrain of your body
Learning each of the looks you give
The little things that make you irresistible
The happiness you’ve brought into my life
Living each day together
Getting to wake up next to you
Years worth of walls
Crumbling to the ground
Sharing things no one has ever known
Feelings stirring deep inside
Reviving what once was dead
Feeling a love like no other
Experiencing so many things
Together for the first time
Helping one another
To strive for our dreams
And seeing them come true
Overcoming our demons
Standing by each other’s side
Learning what makes each other tick
Drawing closer on a deeper level
No one knowing me any better
Giving to each other
The things we’ve always wanted
From another and never had
A year of making memories
Memories both good and bad
And seeing us make it through
The bad times to come out stronger
Seeing each other grow in God
Getting to see God bless our lives
Looking back on the past year
We’ve both become different people
Bringing out the best
Encouraging each other
A year of creating unforgettable memories
And if I had to do it all again
To get to where we are right now
I’d do it without question
Just for a year of creating memories
