Crazy Couriers

All bike couriers have got to be crazy, for the fancy of a buck facing storm and traffic frenzy. All bike couriers are totally bizarre when normal is a pod with not even real walls; sporting photos to remind you of who you really are. Yes all bike couriers are insane if sanity is staring down the face of a machine. Tired at end of day, tell me, where all have you been?

Cool poem, Maureen. Appreciate the insight on this dangerous occupation. Reminds me of the movie "Premium Rush" w/Joseph Gordon Levitt starring. That's the adrenaline kick, I'm guessing. I am awed by courier you stamina. Some lucky fella got a premium lover in you. A mighty fine poem. Love and hugs always.

Thank you Freddie for checking it out and liking it :) that film is cheesy lol my pick for a good courier flick is 2 Seconds. My partner had a physical career too, a dancer. We shared similar woes with retirement. Much love your way dear poet! xomo

They must have legs like steel bands. I cam't even begin ti think how dangerous their job might be each day. Made me ponder Maureen.

I couriered 20yrs in our capital. I remember being nervous 2am walking by myself in the park with the dog to see meteor shower, realizing I am far more likely to get killed at work than in a park at night, with a dog. ;)
