Crazy Al

Oh c !
What am I doing here?

I can't see the bottom!
I'm not ready!

It didn't look this bad from the bottom!
The moguls are as tall as me!

Black diamonds are some kind of watermelon...
Al's run...Taos, NM

Did he die here?
Am I going to die here?

At the bottom smiling...
Let's go again!!!!!!!

©Donna Jones

* you can Google Al's run in NM, it is listed as one of the scariest ski runs in the world...
* for anyone who hasn't snow skied before..black diamond runs are the difficult straight down ones...and
yes a type of watermelon haha

I never tried skiing down hill. Cross country skiing I gave that a half hour try, but fell with every step. Good luck on the contest Donna, and thank you for stopping by and your lovely comments. Warm Smiles, Connie

hahaha, you scaredy cat. Your fear is very well portrayed and then courage is regained at the end. I like, very much. Entertaining poetry, Donna. My very best of luck to you in Richard's contest. :)

In my tropical-country-with-no- snow-at-all, moguls are just sweets deliciously sticking to the teeth... and black diamonds are black diamonds, I guess, but we've got none of them...:) As Andrea says, your notes helped a lot! Thanks for sharing! Kove, Hanitra

thanks for all the footnotes or I would never have gotten this one. For some reason, I was thinking it had to do with deep sea diving or something!!

Well I guess this wasn't such a good idea..but it was the craziest most dangerous thing I've ever done on purpose...the moguls are big bumps made where people cut back and forth turning...if you don't get turned with them you plow head on straight into them like a brick wall..thanks for reading Andrea.

This is an amazing and fun write my friend! I skied when I was young and I loved it then, but of course no black diamonds for me, just the blue intermediate ones, or was it red intermediate ones, I can't remember, it's been a long time! I'm impressed that you have done a black diamond, I don't think that I would try it, no sir! I skied at AngleFire CO, it was nice there too. I have never skied at NM before, but I won't, I'm done skiing! This is a fabulous poem my friend, Great Work!!
