Craziest Time In the Pond

The bowl of tempting soup
with lyrical noodles wriggling,
somebody touches with magical wand,
turning it into an alluring pond
with slithering reeds invisible.

Acting on the edict of urge called muse,
swimming contests are sponsored regularly.
Many keen participants’ sailing aspirations
plunge in the uncharted waters of the pond,
and glide in rhythm to win in the contest.

I’ve just learnt how to swim in deep waters,
but the call of challenge inspires me to take part.
As the ace swimmers win the tough races,
I manage to keep afloat tangled in unseen reeds,
that’s when I’ve the craziest time in the pond.
