Cradle In His Arms
Life was easy,
Cradle in His arms.
People were kind,
Cradle in His arms.
I was given milk to help me grow.
Because I was not yet ready to swallow,
the harsh realities of life.
"I'm tired of milk." I said,
"I desire more."
"Not yet," He spoke with such authority.
He knew I was still not ready,
Ready to walk on my own.
He knew my journey would be hard.
And that people would not always be kind.
He knew what awaited for me on my journey.
So He kept me cradle in His arms a little longer.
He kept me safe for a little longer.
He sent His angels to watch over me.
His loved me so much, that He stayed a little longer.
Life was meant me be lived, in His arms
So I'll stay, a little longer.
Until the end of time, I'll stay
Wrapped up in His arms
Until the day He calls me home.
