Cracked Compass Finding North
I craved not affection, a desperate plea,
Just whispers of worth, a glimmer to see.
No mountains I sought, no jewels in a crown,
But a touch of acceptance, a smile to drown
The echoes of doubt, the shadows so cold
Where whispered self-blame its story foretold
They painted me worthless, a canvas of fear
Their brushes dipped deep in a poisoned tear.
I crumbled and faltered, the whispers took hold
Lost in the darkness, with stories untold.
But love, like a sunrise, chased shadows away,
Real hands reached out, guiding me each day.
Kind eyes saw the beauty I couldn't
perceive, In flaws and in scars, they helped me believe
No longer I wander, seeking in vain,
The love that resides in this heart's soft domain.
For now I have found it, a treasure within,
A fire rekindled, where true strength begins:
So let the winds whisper their tales of despair,
My fortress of self-love can bear any glare.
With every sunrise, new courage takes flight,
I soar on my own wings, bathed in inner light.
No longer dependent on fickle facade,
My worth is a symphony, my spirit unchained
I sing with the stars, with the moon as
my guide, Embraced by the darkness,
in my own light I confide.
So thank you, dear shadows, for showing me home,
The love that resides where I stand all alone.
For now I am found, and my journey's begun,
A symphony of resilience, under the setting sun.
