Coyote and the Road Runner

Wile E. Coyote
would wear Acme “floatie”
wings so he could swoop from mountain bluffs,
but always crashed below to silent puffs.

The Road Runner,
like a tail gunner,
would down Wile E. into the deep
valley floor with his trademark “meep meep!”

I used to enjoy watching this with my children and grandchildren. That is where I learned about the ACME company. Reads like a good contender to me for the contest. Thanks for your visit to my page. Sara

Your clerihew, Eric, lovingly takes me back to the days of Wile E. Coyote and brings to mind many images from the wonderful cartoon series such as the painting of tunnels on rock faces only for a high speeding train to emerge from it. I haven't seen this on TV for a long time but this and Foghorn Leghorn were favourites. Thanks for taking me back with a wide smile. Cheers - Gary

Thanks for the kind comment and shared memories, Gary. Yes, I remember the painted tunnel tricks. And I liked Foghorn .... "Ah say ah say son ..." :) Eric
