Urushiol is a chemical found in the oil of mango sap. Urushiol is also found in poison ivy and poison oaK. My sister is highly allergic to poison ivy and allergic to mango too!

Until now, I didn't realize that mangos preserve pesticide residues and contain compounds that may cause allergic reactions. Had to check it out. People do eat them anyway, but I've never tried one. Great monoku, Kim!
