Courageous- Hero
You had to be strong and brave,
but the odds were not in your favor.
You had to survive in a cruel world,
even when your spirit was crushed.
You had to find a way to hope,
in the midst of hopelessness.
You had to overcome your own
insecurities.
You were neglected, beaten
and raped.
But you still triumphed
and found love,
You fell head over heels in love
with yourself.
And you are without a doubt my hero.
