"All a man really wants, is a girl who looks good in a bikini." - Jack Freestone Yes, he thought – her body shaped Just like he’d dreamed in his wildest fantasies, The shape of love, the shape so graceful, Silhouette flowing over the mind, Erasing the doubts he’d had when he chased her – Eager to know the thoughts behind Such a pretty, pretty girl – one who’d become His heart’s aim, the end to all his games, The feeling so alive, like a shadow in his mind Burning away all the darkness with light Reflecting the beauty that she was, truly Beautiful – inside and out, he believed her to be The girl of his dreams, his future wife – Yes, he thought – but then he married the beauty, Attracted by how she looked in her bikini, He reckoned her to be the love of his best dreams, The one who’d last, the piece of forever – Still beside him, still together long after the years Had given them their worst fears, feelings Alive with tears – silencing their younger dreams, Making a way for them to see past the earlier times Into the music that played so they’d find… A future full of inspiration, insight and imagination, A future filled with grace and hope, love that goes On forever, always inviting, always deciding… This is the way it is meant to be, this is beyond heart Felt reasoning – this is the meaning of victory, But… She left him when he turned fifty – for the lively And energetic fella who first gave her a second look, From his body of twenty five, his promise to survive Beyond her doubts and dreams, beyond the music That played, revealing to the husband she’d left behind This is the cougar who redefines the meaning of mid life Crisis – the meaning of reevaluating life to find… Her bikini has made it through the marriage But her heart has never changed its mind… She is still the child inside, never maturing so she might Love someone who is older than fifty – sigh…. He loved her so, but she had to go – the cougar inside Decided it was time!
