Cotton Candy
Oh, so pink, a glorious treat
Spinning, whirling in that steel drum
Twist the paper cone faster and faster
Big, fluffy like a candy sheep
Gooey sugar meets my mouth
Sticks to teeth, melts on tongue
Dissolves to red syrup
Running down my fingers
All too soon it's done
Licking paper cone
Toss onto littered ground
Of a July carnival
