Coronavirus: COVID-19
A knock upon my chambered door, first tis be all, goes on ignored, Too feeble I, coldness instills, lain I once again e'er filled with chills, Restores a knock that goes on toiling, thrice have it be its own spoiling, Cannot say I, read of the news, so neglect must be, of knocked sound blues, Soars abound knocked chambered door, roars I cannot, for I am sore, Then suddenly, a stillness had come, my chambered door, went silently numb, So I, read on, of coronavirus, tis recent so hence be it naught an antivirus, Kept abreast of things albeit online, inducement, the spread, signs, all be I fine, Cawing gawked my chambered window, peering through midst raised crescendo, A black raven tis annoyance it is the calling, disturbance afoot, perpetual cawing, A chapter be read, of the ailment, fear breeds in verses, amongst confinement, As a bird scrutinize, belittles my illness, with a litany of awk, pesty nuisances, Fatal passages beset home and town, beat I the averages, best all around, A door and window, be I immune, alas, a dreaded raven befalls its lampoon.

A deeply thought out piece, William. The fear we have can be quelled through knowledge. It gives us a place of understanding and allows us to make wise decisions. Well done.

Creative poem. Reminds me of my favorite Edgar Allen Poe poem with the Raven. We have the Raven's relatives, large crows. They are very smart. My husband used to make loud noises to scare them away from bird feeder, where they would gobble up all the feed. However, we have a truce with them. He throws unsalted crackers to them on other side of fence. It is so funny to watch them fly off with crackers in their mouths.

Well done my friend, and that photo is hilarious. It's very important to least follow protocol of staying safe even though it is hard on us. I just wish people were more courteous

Hopefully, the mood of the nation will quell for Americans $1200/each stimulus bill approved by Congress and signed by Trump today as direct deposits to bank accounts--nice, thanks, Eve, sweet of you as always -- Aloha!~@wk

The words "fear breeds in verses, amongst confinement" are so true. Sometimes the worst place to be in a time like this is in one's own head! You capture that truth here. The play on "The Raven" was brilliant I thought. This is a neo-renaissance piece. You do a good job of capturing the feeling that is so prominent globally. I should say that I hope that you are keeping faith amidst this! It sounds like your art might be a very powerful outlet -- for you and for all of us reading your work!

A cure will be had, I am sure of it, though our town is taking precautions--University offering online schooling, cruise ship canceling stopovers, local events canceled and others to be sure since the first fatality as local media floods our town with this outbreak--thank you for your share -- Aloha!~@wk
