Convoluted Thinking

CONVOLUTED THINKING

it’s the holidays
when thoughts turn to those of food
not just any food
sweets are thrust from every side
candy    fruit cake    and apple pie

the list is endless
when I think how weak i am
it makes me shudder
doubtless i shall overeat
so i must set a limit

i hate my fat self
when I look in the mirror
40 pounds over
over what the weight chart says
high school weight days are over

what is sensible?
dare I make it 45
easy to lose 5
just think of the tasty fun
candy    fruit cake    and mince pie

egg nog    rich stuffing
that thanksgiving table spread
how my mouth waters
LOOK!    the lady on t.v. 
took off 50 with jenny

my god!    50 pounds!
why!    5 pounds would be a snap!
and now I’m resolved
i will sign with jenny
right after the holidays

Michelle Mac Donald June 3, 2011 at 7:13 PM Food, sometimes a best friend that can be our worst enemy, Daver. Loved making "that thanksgiving table spread". Turkey, dressing, cranberries, sweet potatoes.......pumpkin pie. We'd eat turkey this and turkey thats for days afterwards. Anyhow...makes me want to burp...not hungry now. Best wishes, Love, Mikki

But most of the diets are no good neither because if you lose weight, youll make it up again after that. As I will be for myself for the holidays, I won't gain weight. I myself got a bit overweight but that is not dramatic at all! Have a nice one!...Gert

Sara Kendrick November 11, 2010 at 4:27 AM Dave, I agree that around January would be a good time to think diet..The other day we ate out so I went to the dessert area of this Chinese Restaurant which of course was a buffet place..They had pound cake with the dried fruits..Delicious..I don't do dessert most of the time but occasionally the sweet tooth hits..My problem is that I can't do what I once did and all I eat goes to fat.I enjoyed this one..Very good humor...I was honored to have you drop by and comment....Sara

Too Much Food! And if the candy is chocolate, I'm too weak to resist. Enjoyed very much, my friend, and hope you can enter Immondia in the sci-fi/fantasy contest.
