Conversational Eyes

Conversational Eyes With a face weathered from the sun his Eyes telling a story caught my curiosity The mystery in them drove me to ask him I sat beside him as he Spoke with verbosity Opening my mouth To speak, He said “Got something to Ask me girly?” Speak! Rattled I said your " Keyes cut into my tart" I am a babbling fool Sitting here beside you May I start over? Sure, He said as he laughed Your eyes cut deep into my heart. You have wise eyes! What do you see in my Old eyes, He Asked. You were a lighthouse For others upon the sea Yet I see sorrow for what You have not achieved Regretting you never Married is what I see Your eyes shine with Softness, he smiled at me It is never too late to find A wife at any age, with Loving eyes he turned saying” " Today tis you, I was glad to meet” Eyes are the Windows of the Soul Carole Cookie Arnold
