I have written this poem, in my created form called, Crumbling Rhyme, but in this poem I have used a mix of non-rhyme and rhymed words as an experiment and I like it.

"The secret of change is to focus all your energy
not on fighting the old, but on building the new."

I contemplate,
my soul, body, my mind and me;
essence and yearning is my lifetime scroll,
my deep secret self thirsts.
I have wishes and dreams in diaries and lists,
ego is full of hope though at times there are twists;
my vital force wants and persists ...
the map of my wishes could be a poet's guide.
I write poems,
this is my life aspiration;
I pray my art shows my identity,
in sweet watercolors.
My wish for the new year is to start new projects,
I have a character that loves to seek what's next;
I am not eccentric or complex ...
my goal is that others see me as a good friend.
I am honest,
my goals have great integrity,
and I always seek to increase my faith;
each new goal has honor.
All wishes on my list follow a moral code,
my goal is to share with the world my gifts bestowed;
as I journey this short life road ...
and each soulful wish on my life list- I will keep.
