Contemplating Death

In the middle of the universe I stand
So alone, though surrounded by love
Afraid of today, more afraid of tomorrow
I know nothing beyond this small room
So alone, though surrounded by love
My fate in the hands of hopeful men
I know nothing beyond this small room
Standing on the precipice of the unknown
My fate in the hands of hopeful men
Afraid of today, more afraid of tomorrow
One with all of those who have gone before
In the middle of the universe I stand
