Consulting an Expert

On a winding path of friendly kegs,
I consumed warm beer and picnic dregs.
Next to me, a little buzzer flied.
I asked, would he help me decide -
potato salad or deviled eggs?

This is hysterical. We, me, usually fuss/cuss about the annoying filthy things but you present a calm alternative, accept them and make light of it. Can you provide a serene affirmation for the 50+ lizards between my house door and car door? There are 2 that have lived on our screen porch for 4 yrs. I warned that we'll try harmony until/if they touch me. I call them Mr. and Mrs. Fugly. Two walls of porch of light gray and they've turned a translucent gray that matches - YUCK.) I've seen Fugly 'issues' but they seem to leave. Poetry hugs, CayCay

Thanks, CayCay, and wow, that's a pretty serious assemblage of lizards. I think I'll write a poem about it, but it's uncanny because your comment is the perfect segue for me to introduce a poem that I wrote on 8/13/2024, creatively called "The Lizard", which I believe is tailor made for your needs.

Personally, I would always go for a good potato salad! I would probably ask the fly and then choose the one he didn't like - lol!
