Consecration
Baseball player, a childhood dream;
Clearly seen was the chosen team.
Accounting , decidedly a plan "B".
A journalist was acceptable plan "C".
It's vague sometimes what we will be.
May we never be left hanging up a tree
Without a plan, a stand, or even a desire.
May there reside in each of us a God given fire
To love HIM, becoming like Him, belonging to Him.
Between God and us, pursuing such is a sacred bond.
With Him, we can execute the assigned mission.
Whether the call is preaching, teaching, or administration,
There is fulfillment when we make the decision
To surrender to the call and receive the consecration.
