Confinement ***cell Block "b"***

***part three of three***

All I see is darkness
as I lay on the cold concrete
clothes shredded
no shoes are on my feet
there is a faint light
coming from underneath the door
every now and then
a shadow passes
then it leaves once more
I do not know how long I've been here
I've well past lost count
but, I do remember why I'm here
and what all of this is about

Just then as I sat there pondering
going over my misdeeds
the door opens with a blinding light
thank the lord I think I'm free
no longer will I be a citizen
free to roam outside these walls
my only freedom comes at certain times
when I clean the bathroom stalls
I've lost everything that I hold dear
my freedom stripped in early life
my son has a new father
It's my best friend that's with my wife!!!

Whew! I am glad this is not a biography because it would be such a sad one. But unfortunately, there are people who live this... too many. It is gripping. (I still haven't found your recommended poem... ) Smiles, Dane Ann

Very well penned my friend, I am so happy to see that it's not bio. Although, how could you write an episode so realistic? In my much, much younger days I do have some first hand experiences, in these matters. Thank God it's all history, though. Sincerely Moses

Jared sounds like my bio bro - Except in Prison you get yard time as Long as your not on C status, in the hole or doing a SHU term - God Bless, MJ
