Common Sense Sentiment Sediment
Listen to poem:
Common sense saves the day when deliberation cannot find a way
An instinctive practical knowledge born of gut feelings.
Common sense - a rare inherent inbuilt wisdom, seldom called on, except as a last resort.
It is often cited after the event when reason and deduction has failed:
'Why not use common sense'? 'Do what most would do - It's just common sense!'
Uncommon sense becomes more reliable with age
It settles as sentiment sediment
from the sea of trials, tests and tribulations.
