Comeuppance

The old word was comeuppance
When the obnoxious got their due
For animal-like behavior
Better suited for the zoo.

Now we simply chuckle with glee
And say they had it coming
Letting it go like that
And walk away humming.

Oh my, I figured you know this world. My granny used it. Of course, I am ten years older than you, so it could've been before your time.

Now, there's a word you don't hear every day. I know some people who should get theirs!

Hi Milton love your comment to Tom this scumbag deserves all that you mention - another incident that comes to mind is the killing of those darling junior students at their desks and a teacher throwing herself in front of the killer, who was shot and killed herself. Shooting him was too kind for that monster. But what you say is true, in your second verse, people are becoming immune to brutality, a clever write, we have, are and will only ever be statistic. Hugs and blessings. Jennifer.

Tom, frankly, I hope he gets far more than comeuppance. I hope he has to look into the barrel of a gun knowing that his time has come. I hope they make him endure a little time to think about what he has done. Then, pow, right between the eyes! If it's cancer, may he suffer 'til his final breath, laying in his vile excrement. Nothing too awful for this scum,Tom. Nothing good can I wish him.
