Comets

We come from the Kuiper belt, Or from the Oort cloud, We’re bodies of the solar system, Guess who we’re? If we’re short lived, We come from beyond the Neptune’s orbit, If we’re long lived, We come from that spherical cloud. We’re filled with ice, And we’re so cold, And when we pass the sun, Our tail we show. We wander here and there, As we’re the child of our space home, But we’re so selfish, As we’re rarely visible to you. Sometimes we’re visible before sunrise, Or after sunset, And you look at our tail an’ see, Our beauty. We’re icy, We appear to be white, Like white dust, Or like white feathers. But we’re so sorry, We know that we hardly come to you, But don’t mind that, Because it’s our Nature!
