“Children begin by loving their parents; as they grow older they judge them; sometimes they forgive them.”
Quote by _Oscar Wilde
Cometh Forgiveness Day
We arrive on earth innocent and pure
To arms of our parents feeling secure
For some that security disappears
When loving feelings are replaced by fear.
Most mothers are angels throughout their days
Showering their children with love always
Some moms have to put up and hush up too
That's what horrid controlling freaks can do.
When households are unbelievably strict
It is terrifying for to exist
Frightened to speak or to step out of line
Causing an explosion at anytime.
Life is what it is, some don’t have a choice
No one knows, therefore there is no advice
It holds one back, life is no fun for some
In family homes held beneath the thumb.
Never knowing what it is to fly free
Children who’re afraid to speak with free speech
No outings with friends, enjoying some fun
Trampled upon since their life had begun.
Yet out of the gloom some flourish and grow
Doing well at school surprisingly so
Learning how to love and to relish life
Determined are they to put their world right.
Say goodbye to sorrow, love wins o’er all
Yet often memories will be recalled
Though it can be arduous to forgive
Bury away pain in a soulful dig.
Shackles that chain the heart will fall away
The instant cometh one’s forgiveness day.
