Come Sleepy Child

Come sleepy child, leave your toys alone; voices hush their sound... no sigh they can clone! Your bed is made of softness, there dreams take you to Heaven; dream of angels, dreams of stars... you can hug your friend Kevin! Come sleepy child, your books can wait; fairy tales won't grow old... I'll read them until eight! Can somebody lull you to sleep? No kiss, no caress, only a brown teddy bear to hug on the longest night of December; no snowflakes, only stars to keep!

Dear Andrew, your poem is a wonderful tender lullaby that embraces the innocence and warmth of childhood. Your words create a soothing atmosphere, inviting the sleepy child to rest in a world of dreams and comfort. I love the imagery of softness, angels, and teddy bears which evokes a sense of security and tranquility. This is a heartfelt piece. You brought out the magic of bedtime rituals and the love that surrounds us even in the quietest moments. - Blessings, Daniel
