Come Morning

son coming home
black dress draped on bed
will she survive mourning

Dedicated to all the mothers who have lost a son to war.

War is never kind. I don't believe sad begins to describe the suffering of a mother who loses her son to combat... I've witnessed it at my friend's funeral. It's great that you wrote this!

Richard....Richard...this is one of your best. OH...you said so much with these lines...the play on words...Oh, the pain of a mother having to wear black. You are a genius. Bless you for this dedication.
