Come Chase Butterflies
Come chase butterflies with me in the sun,
let's race through the fields and laugh as we run.
Start by believing, then let yourself dream,
romp with dolphins, and chase salmon upstream.
Be a tree hugger, ignore the scoffers,
and cherish the miracles Earth offers.
Swim turquoise waves crested with frothy foam
or silver waters the color of chrome.
Climb tall mountains capped in virgin white,
studded with crystals of glistening light.
Sniff spring, riding upon a fragrant breeze,
or inhale winter's breath where icebergs freeze.
Feel the wind dance on grains of shifting sands
as it sculpts desert dunes in rippling bands.
Drift through the fog like a ghostly specter
or spy on honey bees sipping nectar.
Follow me to enjoy the gift of birth
and see the magic and splendor of Earth.
Come take a walk, leave your worries behind,
and have your priorities realigned.
