Colors In the Sky
"Two doves in white flying, feathers glow beneath the morning's rainbow colors." ... Quote by Charles Messina
A flock of doves flying and diving,
only to rise over mountain's crest.
A flash of silver they form, surviving
echoes of rain, as they fly abreast.
Behind, two white doves that fly alone
I wonder why--surely they're not outcast.
They appear as alabaster--Heaven's stone,
Perhaps angelic doves, their purpose vast.
Roused from slumber, zephyr: morning's guest
gently blows raindrops from cloud's face;
as rainbow will soon begin her after-shower quest:
of veiling skies in mists of multi-colored lace.
Toward edge of sky, clouds begin to flow
pause to gaze at sight unlike any others:
Two doves in white, flying, feathers glow
beneath the morning's rainbow colors.
