Colorless Imagism
I will never forget the day my eyes saw you for the very first time
My heart shook, and my hands began to sweat
I felt my soul walk out of my body and hold your hand
Never had I felt such a feeling before
I then knew love was ever so real
I looked at you forever it seemed
You smiled back realizing I was lost with in my thoughts
I knew you felt it too
Was it love at first sight?
No such thing could ever be real right?
Is not love blind and without image
For real love blooms from the bottom of the heart
Real love has no age nor color
It's an invisible yet powerful emotion with the power to over come it all
I wrote to you and for you
I felt in my spirit I would love you for ever and always
Slowly you began to fall for the love that grew with in you
How wonderful were those days
Holding you and speaking poetry into your ears
Crying at your side when the heart ached in pain
Life is full of struggle, yet your smile was bright against any storm
Then you left and hid behind your fear
Was it really too good to be true?
The fear that I would hurt you over powered what you felt
Slowly you pushed me away
We spoke only at times and brief simply because you forced what you felt for me out
I wept because I knew you would go
You faded into history and out of my life
I told you what I felt for you was real
Still, see you not I still write of us today
It's been years and I still long for the day God may bring us back together
I will love you forever my glimpse of hidden light
For GVR.
