Colorful

cornflowers
   are yawning
      sapphire blue
         in a serene meadow.
            a frangipani...

               glistens milk white.
            the wind-stirred trees
         and blades of grass,                     
       youthful green.
    rays of the midday sun,

    glorious yellow.
       a vista teeming 
          with breathtaking colors.
             what a blessed day
                the Lord has made!

               as a mockingbird
            parrots a celestial refrain,
        a mantis
      folds its arms
   in prayer of thanks.
