Color War

Her tangerine wallet
    clashed with her marmalade purse

  Purple pleated pedal-pushers
    just made things much worse

No eye had she for integration
    her colors smacked of segregation

I paint tiny canvases Gershon, so I love color. Your first two lines are so cool. Oh gosh, there I go dating myself again! "Cool" Pedal pushers sound like shoes Lena Horne might have worn as a child. I'd love a pair, a shiny pair with giant, fancy, whistling buckles. I enjoy your poetry so much.

Maybe she's trying to make a fashion statement. I think she did it! :D

You certainly have a point, Evelyn. She probably looks a bit like 'Judy in the Sky with Diamonds!'

But there is a strange beauty in assorted colors! Interesting poem Gershon.

'Strange beauty,' eh?! I just bought a pair of bright pink paisley pants with streaks of vomit-stained yellow here and there. How's that for strange?! (Just kidding, of course. I only wear skirts.)
