Color and Passion

So very true, both color and
          fashion,
          Mix like a cocktail in
          an intoxicating distraction.

          Have you even compared the
beauty of a peacock to a wren?
          I've seen young, gorgeous women,
          dressed like old hens.

          Terrified to wear anything that's
          colorful and sparkles.
Instead, they dress with the finesse
          of Chancellor Merkel!

Even Queen Elizabeth is aged yet quite
          charming.
But today's young women in sweat clothes..
          quite alarming.

You can tell, I am far from a
          unisex gal.
God created us to be colorful~
not a twin of our favorite pet gerbil!

Well, my wife did a lot of clothes designing and stage production, so I have a sense of what you mean. Her appearance, stylish perfection, was the first thing that attracted me toward her. What she ever saw in a mess like me is the Eighth Wonder of the Ancient World. Well, said.

Hi Prince de Mino! What a great share about your wife! Knock out perfection you saw! She saw something beautiful in you. That's what mattered to her. She saw your soul that we see here. Glad you enjoyed this poem. Be blessed, Joe and al, your family.... Panagiota xx

That ending line made me smile and smirk. I wore multi colors yesterday, and had a wonderful day! I think wearing colors makes me feel a hundred times better than my grays and drabs. Well penned my friend!

LOL...I can see use now! I just know you are not a wren and neither am I! The more vivid colors, the better. I look terrible in drab colors. As a kid, had to wear pastels only. Hey, I am not an Easter Egg! Once, out of the house~ dressed as I chose. Thanks for the great comment. Hgs, Pangie xx
