Coffee
You need a cup of coffee
Just to start your day
Or just to settle down your nerves
When something goes astray.
Friends might meet just to chat
Over a cup of “Joe”.
Yes coffee can make a difference
In more ways than you know.
When introduced to someone
You’d like to get to know
“Can I buy you a cup of coffee”
Might be the way to go.
On a long and tedious driving trip
When the road starts closing in
You stop for refreshing coffee
Then you’re on your way again.
When you go for an appointment
Ah but you have to wait - alas
Have a cup of coffee
To help the time to pass.
Yes coffee’s an unsung hero
Here in the USA
It’s almost like an icon
What more is there to say?
