Some say a cluttered desk
Suggests a cluttered mind,
But, in my case, it seems
Makes things harder to find.

There is a theory in creativity land that if you have clutter, it frees your mind up to be more open and free and to generate more imaginative ideas. I stick to this theory often.

I like mine to be organized, too, but sometimes it just gets away from me, and the more time goes by, the worse it gets.

lol. My college Professor in Chemistry Milton had the worst cluttered desk I have ever seen. I was taking Engineering Science, and at the time I was wanting to maybe Pursue a career as a Physician. I had to meet with her in her office. I could barely get in her office it was so cluttered with piles of paperwork stacked five six feet high around her desk. She said to me, "excuse the mess" I thought to myself there is no excuse, lol. She reached in her pile and quickly gave me my test results.lol

Thanks, Michael. Professors seem to be like that. I've noticed the same thing. And, I'm guilty of it, but every once in a while I have to make a clean sweep of things.

One of the perks of living alone is no one touches my stuff. It may look like clutter to some, but I know exactly in which stack to find things. I call it 'organized chaos.' It has nothing to do with cluttering in the mind... and it's better than being empty headed- Sorry, I couldn't prevent my fingers from typing that.

(chuckling) See it means quite the opposite for you. I was just realizing, upon writing this, that I need to throw away some of the clutter here around my computer. Yes, indeed, it is one of the perks of living alone. Today is Deb's birthday...7/7/48.
