I love taking photographs of flowers, on a summer day with long hot hours; now, that sweet, sweet heat is fading away, and the days are full of falling showers. Like flowers- to summer I am clinging, and on long walks a picnic lunch bringing; I am just not ready to say goodby, but lay under the sun with birds singing. A dying beauty I cannot deny, is breathtaking as flowers in July; yes, I will miss the blooms of summer, no more photos of sweet gardens- oh my. I guess you've been getting good use from the camera you mentioned purchasing some time ago. The photo is wonderful, as well as your poem. Keep it up.

You have surpassed all contenders in this contest I imagine. I have no idea what a rubaiyat is supposed to look like, but I know you, and so I think this is perfect. I am not holding onto summer, because I am ready for cooler weather, but I am holding onto this gem of a poem, because it is a keeper, Dear Heart.

Hi Poetic Friends, I spent my summer taking photographs of flowers, those who know me on facebook can see them all. Now that summer is going, I am still taking pictures but want to start a new kind of series.
