Clear Throated Bells

I talked to her late last night
Her fresh wakened sleep filled voice
Talked to me before she was quite awake
It stumbled over itself saying things
She wasn't aware . didn't think she knew
Her hello's, lilting shadows flitting
across the moon lit room
Cheerful heart gladdening words
I love to hear, she talks
Matters not what
Family, working hours, children
She talks of things the world knows
I listen, she said thank you
Thank you for calling, the voice said
Thank you
Pealing clear throated bells
Said thank you
I still listen and hear the ringing of the bells

James, Been there, felt that, and gave the same thanks. Even now after nearly fifty years, I can still hear those pealing bells even if now, as then, I am the only one to hear them. Excellent work my friend. Best...Will
