Cleansing the Temple

On temple mount Jesus went to battle
with those who were selling sheep and cattle.
     With corruption about,
he drove them all out –
the coins of dealers on stones did rattle.

Indignant the Jews asked for a sign.
“Destroy this temple and its holy shrine
     and within three days
     another I'll raise.”
His body upraised did confirm that sign.
