Clash of the Emotions

I try to face the fight within
I walked this path that lead me to the end

I'm caught in between this loss
And love still left to give

I'm ready for the riot to begin
So I can surrender

My heart it is your prisoner
Only you hold the key

Do you continue to hold me captive
Or will you choose to set me free

When all is lost and daylight comes
I'll carry you forever

My wounded soul it still holds
The memories of us for eternity

It was not all bad, it started great
Our hearts they clashed, caused such hate and envy

We must do what's right, give up the fight
So our hearts can have some rest and solace

They will mend in time from this strife
Maybe next time we'll be not so foolish
