Clarity

I know what’s true –
I won’t be dissuaded
I have my view
And it can’t be degraded

I won’t allow myself to be
The target of a witch hunt

The sword that cuts,
It cuts both ways
From the time of huts
To the modern day –

I won’t allow myself to be
Branded as a scapegoat

Some things can be seen
With the utmost clarity
Clean must be the screen
That hides humanity

I know what’s right –
It’s my guiding principle
But woe if that light
Were rendered invisible

I couldn’t allow myself to be
Blinded and without clarity

In need of clarity
Give me clarity
Show me clarity
Shining clarity
