Circular Reality
When the head starts to eat the tail,
will you then begin to understand?
When the consumption
burns a hole in your soul,
will you then begin to perceive?
Trickle down sin
flowing back to the Garden
Adam and Eve ...
oh how innocent they were then
Eden was the birthplace of faith,
where we first started to believe
When the head reaches the legs,
will you then begin to be afraid?
Understanding slowly seeps in:
our callowness and consternation were self-made
We perpetuate the demise of the human race,
corrupting nature with our insatiable, covetous taste
Always taking more and more
from Earth's finite core
Always giving less and less
to those who are powerless and poor
When the head swallows the belly,
will you then begin to vomit out shame?
Perceiving that the end is near,
will you cast pride aside
and call on His holy name?
Evil occurrences worldwide ...
prophets of doom say it's the end of the game
You were only tricking yourself,
gluttonous years spent thinking of no one else
When the head devours the neck,
will you then begin to reconcile your fate?
Seeing the handwriting on the wall,
your own sins you have now ate
Understanding at last resonates ...
You chose not to cut off the head,
now it's too late!
