Christmas Windows Iv - Goldspoint

Every shop is decked out in holiday reds silvers greens At Shelby's there is a train in the window running through heavenly-soft hill and vale then beyond a long tunnel - to this rustic old town with post office barber shop saloon and the Elmira Hotel A sign says "The town Goldspoint was a real town way back when" It doesn't say when just "Way back when" And..................... This is very fascinating because..........well.......... I think of Christmas "Way back when" as so mysterious Suddenly Nearly delirious Imagination peaked Curious Why then after a haircut sarsparilla and hot bath in the old Elmira Hearing the whistle feeling the steam I hop aboard ride her round the bend

Hi again, Daver. :) Just wanted to reply to your comment about Cezanne - i have seen his work, and love him, but am not sure which painting is of the mountain - or it it the mountain in much of his painting that you speak of? I would much like to see it? I'm intrigued! And thank you sweet man, you are so awesome. :) P.S- did you read my Through the glass of Valhalla? I thought you may like it, since it has to do with the old ones/myth. :) Love, me

Oh, man, this one got me all excited! I just love this season, and 'way back when' does have an air of mystery and the untouchable - knowing one cannot know what 'way back when' was like...I so wish I could, though. I imagine the feeling doesn't change though. :) Awesome poem, Daver, as always, Kristin

It takes a great imagination, a special memory and a whole lot of magic (and talent) to recreate the wonder such as this for a child. You have managed to hold onto the child within, and share it like it is real. You are a magnet, and I am pulled right in. Don't stop. It's truly wonderful to read your holiday poetry gifts. Love, Shar
