Christmas Trees - Really
A Christmas tree is going up already
Hang on a mo though I said to Eddie
As he was the one who made it ready
To crane it up and make it steady
Surely it's not time for Xmas puds already
As I have not peeled my spuds or sprouts yet Eddie
And as for turkey and stuffing
Do they mean to you nothing?
So sorry Eddie said to me
But can't you clearly see
That it's as plain as plain can be
That Christmas started yesterday
It's the same as last year and the year before
So before you close your door
Just make sure you complete your chores
At least by Halloween or before
Then just sit back and relax
As bonfire night is just a crack
For you to remember that
A New Year is almost already back
And Christmas trees will then appear
Even earlier then this time next year!
