christmas tree

In abandoned field
in the middle of nowhere
as if to stand out

outlined by suns rays
this tree no more than 4 ft
glistens with white snow

too proud to cut it
I drape tinsel and garland
on frosted branches

golden star a top
in moonlight's gaze it shines bright
blessed wishes to all
