Can you remember Christmas long ago,
How those December days were waited for?
Remember how, so happy, we would go
Into those stores aglow with bright decor;
Such feelings of delight when Santa Claus,
Together with his bag of toys, was there?
Mid all the bustling, we would stop and pause
And whisper in his ear our toy-wish 'prayer.'
Such magic Christmas held that time of year.
Most everyone was filled with Christmas love,
And though the times were simple then, it's clear
Good spirits filled our hearts. Then from above
In dark of night more Christmas magic flowed,
Cause in the morn we'd find that it had snowed.
