Christmas Fire Magic

Viewing a crèche on the fireplace mantel, flames below kissing the air leave shadow-play that brings the figures to life. Jesus smiles at me and a donkey lies down beside the mangered child. I could see the glow from angel haloes; a star and the flames produce more light-beings. Christmas magic is found within the natural realm; flames like Christ’s, light, fuel the soul and warm the heart. Nature is magic Elements all interact; Create miracles.

a beautiful sight; I feel that I am there; spirit is everywhere. I think the reason Christmas means so much to people is the intended remembrances all along their path from November through to January. It must be a really difficult time to not believe, as there is so much magic afoot. I feel a mystical loveliness in your poem, and your fire place.

Ooh, thank you; the flickering flames just seem to cast an air of magic and when I'm tired and sleepy; the dreaming mind kicks in and my imagination soars. Glad you enjoyed it.
