Christmas Dreams

Christmas dreams

A whole year long wait,
and Christmas is here,
Cheerful faces and dancing gait,
Must enjoy its fragrance in the air !

Remember gifts of last year,
Santa to our dream as we exactly thought,
Promises that were done for this year,
Let's see what special he has now got !

Time to get ivy, holly and mistletoe,
Jingle bells,candies and colourful candles,
and wait for cover by a pure white snow,
Lighted houses, illuminated sleighs and angels!

Paint the chimney new for Saint to creep in,
and slip gifts into stockings hanging by fireplace,
At night when the church bell will ring,
Carols will add melody to festive's grace !

Will take celebrations to the twelfth night,
And wake up with dreams shining bright!

Loved this one, I have read so many cheerful Christmas ones, I might just come up with a scrooge one to keep my "dark" reputation going!!! :) Hugs

You forgot the hot chocolate -- but wait, on second thought -- the whole poem is thick and creamy, a delightful drink -- yum!!
